this book will keep my brain wolves from the door – 650 pages Wolf Hall.
Not bad.

Mount Astrid Lindgren
Last summer I took this pic on my way to mount Astrid Lindgren, 55 MAMSL (Metres Above Sea Level). Chalk bag and safety rope not required.
This will do for WP’s Weekly Photo Challenge “On the Way“.
And who is this Astrid Lindgren (link to AL Memorial Award)? Well, one of my favourite authors and mother of Pippi Longstocking and Ronia the Robber’s Daughter – and some other free thinking children:
- Assar Bubbla
- Bill Bergson
- Brenda Brave
- Britt Mari
- Brothers Lionheart
- Bullerby Children
- Emil
- Fiolito
- Herr Liljonkvast
- Junker Nils
- Karlson on the Roof
- Kati
- Kerstin and Barbro
- Lotta
- Mardie
- Mimmi och Peter
- Mio
- Mirabell
- Peter and Petra
- Rasmus
- Red bird
- Samuel August and Hanna
- Seacrow Island
- Simon Small
- Skinny Jack
- Tommy and Annika

Reading-math
Game of Thrones – a huge success in Sweden – but I have not seen one single episode. So. Yesterday I bought “A Game of Thrones “, the first book in the sixology (yes, I just made that word up) written by George R R Martin.
Oh man, 732 pages with very VERY small letters.
6 books á 900 pages each = 5400 pages = 10 years of reading and no blogging.
Is it worth it? Have you watched the series or read the book? Or even both?
Feelin’ skeptical.

Wrapping
I can’t resist WP’s Weekly Photo Challenge: cover art! I often judge a book by it’s cover (well, it happens with people too sometimes (very incorrect of me)). Here are two of my own beauties, one record cover and one book cover, both bought just for their fabulous wrapping.
However, if you want to look at really nice covers, I mean really outstanding, please visit The New Yorker’s archive. Scroll down a bit and enjoy. A whole bunch of masterpieces.
Another arty cover is this (link to Youtube). But I think I prefer the original.
