Summer greetings from the province of Hälsingland

Cloudberries (Rubus chamaemorus).

Fireweed (Chamaenerion angustifolium).
Wind parks.
Ljusnan River.

Some people say it is the Year of the Rat – I say it is the Year of the Berry Picker. Never before have I seen so many cloudberries, blueberries and wild strawberries as this year. I’m in heaven.

Note to self: don’t feel like an idiot when you talk very loudly to yourself. Who wants to meet a cloudberry-hungry bear?
