These are cool photos as you get closer and closer to the snake. I love doing the same thing and sometimes try to get really close. How close? One time I got close enough that I could see my reflection in the snake’s eye. (https://michaelqpowell.com/2014/04/30/my-reflection-in-a-snakes-eye/) 🙂
I can’t tell you how frightened, really frightened I would be if I got that close to a snake. I’ve even dreamed of such encounters — nightmarish, of course — but I wouldn’t be able to hold the camera steady to take a picture. Good for you to be so composed!
